Mdre Bahri demands the immediate and unconditional release of Brigadier General Bitweded Abraha. He has been incarcerated unjustly since 1992 by the direct order of the unhinged Eritrean dictator.
General Abraha is highly respected by the entire Eritrean people, seen as their natural leader and known as the Mandela of Eritrea.
Mdre Bahri thus demands that the Brigadier General be Installed upon his release as the Leader of a new transitional unity government of Eritrea!
Mdre Bahri strongly believes that General Abraha is one of the most capable, trustworthy and progressive democrats and a convinced human-rights leader who should lead Eritrea in order to save it from the political quagmire in which it finds itself today.
Mdre Bahri is really at a loss to understand what is going on in the mind of the insensitive Eritrean dictator and honestly wonders how such a fine, precious and rare Eritrean leader could remain incarcerated for the past 28 years while Eritrea and its people are suffering from a lack of leaders with such integrity.
Consequently, Mdre Bahri calls upon all patriotic Eritreans to stage a world-wide demonstration in front of the Eritrean embassies and demand the immediate and unconditional release of our dear brother and national hero, Brigadier General Bitwoded Abraha.
In this connection, I would like to remind Eritreans they should never forget the timely and wise advice of the 16th President of the US, Abraham Lincoln – the man who successfully led the United States through the Civil War between North and South, preserved the Union and ended slavery.
He said: “Any nation that does not honour its heroes will not long endure.”
