Sanction is Silent Terrorism- It Kills and Maims the Innocent!
By Drs. Tsegezab Gebregergis
Mdre Bahri believes that sanctions by the powerful nations against the politically and economically weak African and other Third World countries are an illegal and criminal undertaking.

Similarly, Mdre Bahri views the sanctions against Eritrea, and all based on lies, as illegal and criminally motivated.
Likewise, Mdre Bahri views the internal sanctions imposed against the Eritrean people by the PFDJ-led government of Eritrea as criminally motivated.
In other words, both the externally and internally imposed sanctions against the Eritrean people deeply hurt the Eritrean people economically, psychologically and morally, just as terrorism affects its victims.

The final political objective of powerful countries, in imposing sanctions against weaker countries, is to force them to submit to, and accept, the diktat of the powerful countries and, if this does not bring about their desired political goals, they seek to bring regime change.
It is therefore high time that the United Nations General Assembly debated the sanctions issue and finally criminalised sanctions by powerful nations against weaker nations, just as it has criminalised terrorism.
For both the externally and internally imposed sanctions are criminally motivated to achieve political goals.
Consequently, Mdre Bahri calls for the immediate removal of all forms of sanction against Eritrea.
At the same time, Mdre Bahri also calls upon the PFDJ regime ruling Eritrea to remove without any further delay the internal sanctions and other impediments which curb the democratic rights and the free movement of Eritreans inside their own country.
