Despite the protest demonstration we organised in May 2015 in Geneva to show our anger and concerns about the manner Eritrean political refugees are being treated in Israel, and despite sending an Urgent Appeal Letters in May 2015 to both the UNHCR and the Israeli Prime Minister, the government of Israel is busy trading Eritrean refugees in exchange for weapons with the governments of Uganda and Rwanda.
Eritreans throughout the world are thus very angry and unable to understand why the UN High Commission for Refugees(UNHCR) is keeping guarded silence while the the human right of the thousands of Eritrean and other African refugees in Israel is being crudely violated by the Israeli government.
It is time now for the UN to act on behalf the Eritrean and other African refugees and tell the Israeli government that refugees are not commodities for sale.
As far as Mdrebahri is concerned, the cruel and irresponsible action of the Israeli government is nothing other than blatant racism and must be condemned as such.
Stop deporting African refugees from Israel.
Long live International Solidarity!
